    • Event data (e.g., page views, scroll depth, track interactions, section views, outbound clicks, and specific call-to-action interactions).
  • Technical & Device Storage Data (Crucial for App Functionality): To provide a seamless, immersive audio experience without redundant network requests, we utilize client-side caching. We temporarily store audio files and web-player state preferences directly on your device.

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us to:

  • Service Delivery: To cache audio locally to prevent redundant downloads and ensure seamless playback without requiring manual cache clearing.
  • Analytics & Improvement: To understand user engagement through aggregated metrics.
  • Compliance: To enforce our terms, monitor against unauthorized usage or scraping, and maintain security.

3. Local Storage and Client-Side Caching (Liability Shield)

To provide a high-quality, continuous, and immersive audio experience, Chill Airwaves utilizes browser-based Local Storage, IndexedDB, and similar client-side caching mechanisms. This allows us to temporarily store audio files and playback states directly on your device to reduce bandwidth consumption and improve loading times.

Because this data is stored locally on your hardware, Chill Airwaves assumes no liability for local device storage limits being reached, data corruption on your device, or third-party access to the device you use to access the Service. You may clear your browser's local cache at any time, though doing so may result in slower audio load times or loss of playback preferences.

4. Third-Party Analytics and Telemetry

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to monitor and analyze web traffic and track user behavior (such as button clicks and playback engagement). Google Analytics processes data according to its own privacy policies. Chill Airwaves disclaims any liability for data breaches, tracking, or profiling originating from Google's processing of this data across other sites. Users wishing to prevent their data from being used by Google Analytics may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Automated Decision-Making and Audio Profiling

While Chill Airwaves tracks your interactions within the app (such as sections viewed and play behaviors) via our analytics providers to improve our Service, we do not use this data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you. Your listening habits are analyzed purely in the aggregate, and we do not compile sensitive behavioral profiles based on your audio preferences.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We may share your data with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including:

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics 4): For traffic and event analysis.
  • Cloudflare / Cloud Storage (e.g., R2): For delivering the site infrastructure, media assets, and CDN services.

7. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you possess specific rights regarding your personal data:

  • GDPR (EU/UK Users): The Right to Access, Rectification, Erasure (Right to be Forgotten), Restriction of Processing, Data Portability, and the Right to Object. Our lawful bases for processing include Legitimate Interest (e.g., caching audio for functionality) and Consent (e.g., GA4 analytics).
  • CCPA/CPRA (California Users): The Right to Know, Right to Delete, Right to Non-Discrimination, and the Right to Opt-Out of the “Sale or Sharing” of Personal Information. Please note that while we do not “sell” data for money, the use of Google Analytics constitutes “sharing” under California law.

8. Data Retention

We retain tracking data for the minimum period necessary (GA4 defaults to 2 or 14 months). Local storage and cached audio data remain on your device until you clear your browser data or until our application's cache invalidation rules automatically overwrite obsolete files.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA Focus)

Our Service is intended for generalized audiences and is explicitly not targeted toward children under 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you become aware that a child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.
